Anil! I am continually blessed by your insight. Your blogs bring immediate encouragment to my life.

I love what you said about the names of God. They are not reminders to Himself but to us as His Children. Does God need to explain Himself? Of course not. The names of God reveal to us His limitless ability and strength.

I love what Bob said. Tell them I am sent you. God was basically saying, I need no distinction nor do I need to be defined.

When dealing with human beings, we are a dime a dozen. With several billion others like us in the world, it's vitally important that we make a distinction when referring to each other.

I believe the reason God called Himself "I am" is because He knew there was no one else like HIM and no reason to distinguish who He was! He was everything and will be everything we ever need! The Psalmist David said it this way in Psalm 113:5 "Who is like the LORD our God, the One who sits enthroned on high"

Thanks again man!

This is great Anil, but the name of God I love the most is the easiest to remember. It's the name He gave to Moses from the burning bush when Moses asked "Who should I say sent me?" and God responded "Tell them I AM sent you. God is still trying to get this simple message through to us today. With all His mighty names...I AM is all we need in every circumstance and to meet our every need. So let me take a liberty with Immanuel, the name given to Jesus, which translates God with us and rephrase it I AM with you.
